Community & Ethnic Minority Capacity Building Programme
Programme aim
To deliver a bespoke Community and Ethnic Minority Capacity Building and Sharing Development Programme which will ultimately increase the capacity of communities, the confidence, knowledge and skills of local people, from disadvantaged areas, from within marginalised groups and from ethnic minority groups to engage in and address reconciliation, anti sectarian and anti racism work and to help shape a context that supports community integration and cohesion through a bespoke programme of intervention.
Target beneficiaries
Local groups, groups from disadvantaged areas and marginalized groups and from ethnic minority groups from the Council areas of Coleraine, Limavady, Larne, Moyle, Ballymoney and Ballymena. The participants will take part in an OCN Level 2 accredited Community Integration programme – 60 groups, made up of BME based groups and community based groups (with a minimum of 180 participants),
Outcomes
To increase the capacity of communities, the confidence, knowledge and skills of local people, from disadvantaged areas, from within marginalised groups and from ethnic minority groups to engage in and address reconciliation, anti sectarian and anti racism work
Resource Allocation
This programme contains a resource allocation which participating groups can use to implement practical projects in their community setting which bring into practice the knowledge and skills developed through the programme.
