Leadership, Citizenship and Good Relations Programme for Civic Leaders – elected member based
Programme aim
Targeted at elected members from the NE Cluster area, this programme aims to explore and develop specific civic and leadership skills in the areas of reconciliation, mediation, sectarianism and racism.
Target beneficiaries
The programme is targeted at local Councillors from throughout the NE Cluster area. 26 Councillors from the six Councils within the Cluster will participate in a bespoke “Leadership in a Shared Society Programme”.
Outcomes
As a result of the programme participants will increase their contribution to improving trust, tolerance and understanding of differences in the area. The programme will also offer a safe, open and honest opportunity for communication to take place between elected representatives to discuss their role in peace building.

June 2009 – December 2010
