Community and Ethnic Minority Capacity Building and Sharing Programme

Programme aim:
The programme will increase the confidence, capacity, knowledge and skills of individuals and groups from indigenous and ethnic backgrounds to engage in reconciliation, anti-sectarian and anti-racism work through a bespoke programme of intervention.

Target beneficiaries:
Local groups, groups from disadvantaged areas, marginalized groups and ethnic minority groups from the NE and the border counties are all target beneficiaries of the programme. At least 60 indigenous and ethnic minority groups will be recruited to the programme.

Outcomes:
Participants on the programme will receive training and mentor assistance to engage in shared capacity building and practical initiatives specifically around integration and addressing racism and tackling sectarianism through mediation. The programme will offer OCN accreditation to participants.

Resource allocation:
This programme contains a resource allocation which participating groups can use to implement practical projects which bring into practice the learning developed through the programme.
